Autumn is well and truly here. Warm days and crisp evenings make for perfect sewing weather. Did you get to AQC? It was lovely to see so many of our customers and students! Thanks for dropping by our stand to say hello. It was a massive few days for us, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

In a spin off from our Summer School, we’re now having a weekend of Winter Workshops and bookings are Now Open! With six workshops to choose from over two days there is something for everyone; two different sewing bags, a workshop with QuiltSmart products, an exploration of English Paper Piecing (EPP), and some playtime with acrylic templates.

Wendy Williams has a great range of patterns produced under the name of Flying Fish, and we have lots of them now in stock.
“Fancy Forest” by Elizabeth Hartman is taking the world by storm! This gorgeous pattern featuring easy pieced animals is now in stock.
A quilter can never have too many pairs of scissors, and these little ones are perfect embroidery or applique scissors. They have a sharp point, measure in at just 4.5” and are available for the sweet price of only $5.50.
Many of you will have seen, and no doubt use, the 50 weight, 100% cotton threads in the blue donut. We now have the second donut in this same range of threads, with a set of different shades all set out in a purple donut. Perfect for applique – a little bobbin of colour that seems to last a long time.

:: “Morris Earthly Paradise” by Barbara Brackman is named for an epic poem written by the great designer. He had many talents, among them novelist, publisher and political activist. The fabrics capture the Morris look with seven prints from old swatch books and catalogues. Graceful florals dating from 1874 to 1910 include some rarely seen prints by the master and his apprentices. Available in Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes.
